Our client saw potential in utilising the unused space outside shopping mall entrances as the perfect place for roasting & caramelising nuts, one whiff of roasting nuts as you walk by makes it compulsory to stop and buy some!

Kiosk design & build time! Using top secret technology gained from NASA Lunar landers and Dr. Who's Tardis we squeezed everything required into a 2.5m cube, including roasting gear, gas bottles, sink, water tanks & plumbing, electrical, illuminated signs, storage, display counter, till, plus even some humans!

This cool little guy was made for FergBaker in Queenstown (next door to the world famous FergBurger) Designed and sculpted ready for the lost wax/bronze casting process. (by R. A White)

The brief was that he had to be friendly looking but still a gargoyle, as in scare away the bad spirits but not small children and nanna.

Built with a wire armature and good old sculpey clay, with lots of hours referencing anatomy photos and sculpting fine details.

 Renovation and rebrand project for Wholesale Cars Direct Wellington.

Long time friends & clients, we have been involved for the past 15 years in branding, business image & signage systems for WCD dealerships.

From day one WCD set the trends that others followed & kept them as leaders in the quality import vehicles market. Throughout this time we have worked closely to keep the theme crisp, modern & welcoming.

Project involved graphic design work, branding, photography magic, sign & illumination systems, digital printing, architectural concepts & designs, building plans & council permits, fabrication & installation.

Our client bought a classic old coin operated slate pool table from a local pub, it was in a pretty worn out condition but repairable so was stripped down & rebuilt with new/refurbished parts & all chrome re-plated. Then it was time to airbrush it, the overall theme had to tie in with Bridal Beast's branding & the base colour had to match the deep grape metallic used on the owners Corvette. I spent almost two weeks airbrushing 3862 skulls all over the table! Last step was to tweak the Bridal Beast artwork mural which was digital textile printed on competion grade felt & reinstalled over the original slate.

Sculpture for Bridal Beast wedding cars, the angel was to be used as a hood ornament for attaching the wedding ribbons to, with skulls on the roof for the two ends forming the traditional V shape. The theme was to run with the Bridal Beast branding & feel, so stick with angels & demons, light & dark, heavy metal, V8 power etc.

The angel was sculpted with a wire armature with sculpey clay, ready to be lostwax cast in bronze & then chrome plated

Airbrushed Lion on Holden Monaro, this project started with the clients wishlist of using iridesent blue flames & lions head (referencing the GM Holden Lion icon) on deep metallic black paint. Airbrushed using Iwata HP airbrush, basecoats in black & white overlayed with blue pearl candy effect metallics. Prep, black coats & finish clear by the good guys at Flamin Body Shop

Bosch had just bought a new demonstration trailer for expo's & trade fairs, awning doors all four sides open up to reveal tool display areas inside.

Kustom Design Studio designed a Bosch branding feature for each side, the roof plus a bar leaner (thirsty work selling tools!) then digital printed on 1600mm wide quality 3M vehicle wrap film overlayed with clear laminate, and applied the prints to the trailer.
 

What do you do with old beer crates, up-cycle them into retro industrial style big chunky letters! Each letter is hand made & finished. 1200mm high.

No beer was harmed in the making of these letters.

The Provincial Chip Co. simply the bestest tastiest greenest fish'n'chip shop around, all produce is sourced from within a two hundred km radius, fish is line caught & even their vehicle runs on biodiesel recyled from the canola oil used for frying. Our good friends contacted us to paint a wall map showing where all the local produce is sourced from and of course it had to be hand-done on natural materials!

Painted on heavy weight canvas, with non-toxic water based paint washes, rolled canvas ends over manuka (tee tree) branches.

Branding, signage and shopfitting project for Bathroom Base.

Building exterior. Design new front renovation to hide unattractive building, produce plans, 3D Archicad modeling.

Building interior. Design shop fitting layout, walls, shelf systems, counter, window displays etc. Produce Archicad 3D models and plans.

Signage. Design, fabricate and install signs systems with 3D cnc cut letters on acm folded tray panels, interchangable banner wall graphics for sales, specials. Matching interior branding signage.

What a cool toy! This one ticks all the boxes, looks like an RC car but has no batteries & makes kids run around!

We enjoyed designing the branding & packaging for this newly invented series of push'n'play cars, project included logo design for Sprinta Toys, parent company Straatas, plus the individual small parts & product lines. Next we moved on to racey sticker sets for the Storma body,  then packaging & box design. The brief was "look with your hands!" so an open box where kids could touch & try the unique steering, feel the soft compound tyres & push the suspension.
